· 3AM – dress quickly and make bed like a match box or else punishment
· everyone had to leave barracks immediately, ppl are trembling cuz of lack of sleep and cold
· 5AM – we used to get coffee and breakfast and had to stand attention for hours
· They were like wild beasts and ordered him to present his backside and beat him with a stick or a hip
o Victim screamed after 1st blow then fell unconscious
· Their favorite sport was boxing sack where the poor victim was shattered, covered in blood, teeth knocked out, nose broken, eyes shut
· Customary SS habit was to kick a Jew with a heavy boot
· Capos were worse than SS men
o Work was unproductive and its purpose was exhaustion and torture
· 1PM to 6PM – there was work again
· Afternoon work was same: blows and blows
· Punishment parade – German eyes had transgressed in some way during the day, or had not been punctilious in their performance, they were stripped naked and beaten publicly
